2 days Jinja, Sezibwa falls and Mabira forest Safari, Jinja is located in the East about 85 km away from Kampala, on the shores of Lake Victoria; its where you will also find the source of the Nile River. Jinja is a very interesting and adventurous district with lots of attractions and activities to do including the Rafting on the River Nile, boat rides, nature walks, sightseeing among others.
Day 1: Explore Sezibwa falls and Mabira forest
After breakfast with your driver/guide you will transfer to Jinja. Along the way, you will have a stopover around Sezibwa Falls which is believed to have been birthed by a woman, for a guided nature walk and sightseeing. Thereafter, you will head back to the main high way to Mabira rain Forest which is one of the biggest rain forests in Uganda covering a total area of about 306 sq km and is home to grey checked magabeys, 218 butterfly species, other different types of monkeys like the red tailed, 315 bird species and 312 different tree species.
As you proceed to Jinja, you will view tea, coffee and sugar plantation en route. Through the Owen falls dam and Ripon falls, you will access the source of the Nile. You will have lunch with views overlooking Lake Victoria and the Nile River. Later in the evening we check into the hotel, for dinner and overnight rest. Meal plan: F/B
Day 2: Jinja River Nile White water rafting.
After breakfast, with your driver, you will go for the white water rafting on the mighty Nile. Here you can expect long, rollicking strings of Grade IV and V rapids, with plenty of thrills and spills which you will surely enjoy. Thereafter, you transfer back to Kampala and if time allows, a run by the African market for a souvenir. You will be dropped at your hotel in Kampala in the evening and that will be the end of our trip. Meal plan: H/B
